This time a 5AM start, Its off to sunny Soke On Trent for the RenBuKai Submission Wrestling Competition, Daniel who is 15 is fighting in the Junior & Adult divisions, So we have to be there early as the Juniors weigh in at 9AM, Daniel is fighting in the Junior Open Weight Division, his first opponent is a very stocky and strong guy 19kg heavier, Even though Daniel attacked the whole time with several arm bars, triangles uma Platas, His opponent powered his way out and won 2-0 in overtime with a single take down, Daniels next opponent was about the same weight, Daniel immediatly took down his opponent passed the guard moving from the side into the mount and then to the rear, then applied a RNC for a quick victory, Daniels last fight in this division was to decide the SILVER BRONZE medals, He was faced with an opponent 6'3" and 92kg, Fighting a good strategy Daniel jumped guard and brought his opponent to the mat, where he immediately locked in a tight armbar, his opponent stood up picking Daniel off the floor and slammed his way out before daniel recovered the guard and continued to attack, In overtime Daniels opponent can opened him 3 times trying to pass the guard, on the last occasion daniel switched to an open guard and attacked the leg with a knee bar then twisting foot lock before time ran out with Daniel gaining the Victory and the SILVER medal Next was the Adult Divisions, Starting with the Lightest Division the Under 60kg, Joao, Chris & Daniel Closed the Division Taking GOLD, SILVER & BRONZE, Daniel submitted both Adults 1 in a mere 39 Seconds with a tight triangle choke after transitioning from an arm bar attack the second from a RNC, Chris also submitted both his opponents , Demonstrating a solid all round game, Taking his first opponent down quickly passing the guard and transitioning into an text book arm bar, In the second fight he beautifully transitioned from the guard to his opponents back (Braulio Style) where he rolled to his opponents side for an arm bar then transitioned for a triangle choke, Joao also submitted both his opponents both in under a minute swift take downs cartwheel guard passes and arm bars to outclass his opponents. Next up was Oliver who was fighting in the under 90kg Division, In his first fight he missed a flying arm bar before sweeping from the guard and controlling his opponent from on top for a desicive victory, His next Opponent was a big strong wrestler, Oliver shot in for a double leg his opponent sprawled oliver then switched to a single leg took his opponent down and transitioned straight into side control, His opponent bridged and reversed the position but on the way over Oliver took his arm rolled again flipping his opponent onto his back and extended his arm for the submission, In the final Oliver met the current ADCC UK open under 87kg Champion Jamil, A very good and powerfull fighter but Oliver took the innitiative shot in for a beautiful single leg take down 2 guard passes and a lot of technical positional exchanges later Oliver earned a clear 12 - 2 victory and the GOLD medal
