Considering The European Championships is the biggest competition in the world outside of the USA and brazil, Only the best fighters compete and everyone trains as hard as they can which is why the level is of world class standard,

Saturday morning started off with Paul Conway fighting the Lightweight masters division, Paul fought really well and lost a narrow points decision in an all stand up affair, defending multiple takedown attempts by his much taller opponent whilst attempting throws and takedowns himself.

Daniel fought really well at the weekend, remember he has only just turned 17 and had to fight in the adult division, which is very very tough,

In his weight division on saturday he won his 1st fight by submission quite quickly with an armbar but his oponent claimed he did not submit so the fight was restarted and daniel promptly arm barred him again, Daniel unfortunatly lost his next fight which was the final of his bracket to a very good italian who had already beaten migual, Joao and Helio´s student from portugal in the previous round, he lost by 4 points but fought really well pulled of some great techniques and gave him one of his toughest fights,

Daniel was then selected to represent the UK lightweight team in the team event which considering his age and weight is fantastic, And placed daniel at position 1 in the team which shows you how highly regarded Daniels skills are,

The team is made up of 5 fighters under 76kg obviously the strongest fighters go in the higher positions, Position 1 is the highest because effectively you are the one who leads the team,

Daniel submitted his french opponent in the first round in appx 20 seconds with an armbar he just went out there and smashed him and the uk went on to win 3 - 0, He then in the second round got the fight he has waited a year for and beat the reigning european champion (who he lost to last year) Damian from poland to prove already that he is one of the best ADULT featherweights in europe,

Lubo Repasky Fought in the LightWeight division and won his first 2 fights, Which were extremely tough affairs escaping 2 tight armbars and digging really deep to come out on top in those fights,

Nick Lost by 1 Advantage to a Brazilian who went on to win quite comfortably in the final at Senior Lightweight, One division above his normal weight
