The European Open Brazilian JiuJitsu championship is the 3rd biggest competition in the world, The biggest outside of Brazil & America, Just like in golf it is one of the major championships these are the most prestigious, Being a major The European Open is not limited to fighters only from Europe which is why it attracts the best fighters from around the globe, Over 850 fighters had signed in and it proved to be tougher than anyone could have imagined, Daniel Strauss who trains at Mill Hill JuJitsu club & Represented Gracie-Barra UK had only just turned 16 and was the youngest fighter from the UK & the youngest competitor taking part in this competition, fighting excellently in an extremely tough division to win a Bronze medal, In his semi final fight falling victim to a scoring error by the referee denying him a place in the final and a chance to fight for the Gold!
Nick Brooks The Instructor at Mill Hill JuJitsu club and also representing Gracie-Barra Uk Won gold in the Featherweight division, Finishing the fight in 2 minutes with a triangle choke to win the FeatherWeight division for the third year in a row.
