Nick lost his first fight in the pool 3-2 to nasser of the Jordan BJJ team (Nasser won the gold submitting every body he fought including winning the Final with an arm bar in under 30 seconds) before coming up against a black belt from the Dubai national judo team, Nick pulls guard straight away and drags his opponent to the floor where he applies a tight arm bar before being picked off the floor and twice slammed into the mat as his opponent desperately trying to free his arm, (this also disclocates nicks finger) As his arm comes free nick applies a triangle choke before his opponent again picks Nick off the floor and twice more slams him into the mat trying to loosen the choke, Which he can't and taps out at the 2 minute mark, Nicks final match starts with shoot for a double leg takedown, before rolling back into the butterfly guard, from there Chokes out the fighter from Dubai BJJ with a X choke, After winning 4 of the 5 fights in the pool was not called to fight the Finals??? no explaination was given by the Organisers
The organisation and refereeing on the day was a shambles Enough Said!
